Following programme were conducted on 8^th July, 2011 in Wayanad

Morning from 11 am to 1 pm, Professor V P N Nampoori addressed the higher secondary school students of Green Hills Public School, Sulthan Bathery, Wayanad. Topics such as Kerala legacy of Mathematics and Astronomy, Nature of Universe and Health effects of Mobile phone.

Special award was presented to the Principal of the School for encouragement given to students for participating in SPM. During the last SPM there were 200 students from the school for SPM.

From 1.45 to 2.30 a meeting with the science teachers of the school was held. It was decided to form Science Teachers’ Forum with the teachers of the school taking initiation. Once in a month the forum will meet.

A meeting with the experts of the traditional healers was also arranged at 2.30 pm in the Wayanad office of the Thaddheshiya Paramparya Chikilsa Vibhagam (TPCV), SSM Kerala. It was decided to hold a state level meeting of the traditional healers in Calicut during August– September.
